ChristConnect is designed for respectful Christian community, learning, prayer, encouragement, service, and relationship-building. These Guidelines apply to posts, comments, profiles, groups, messages, livestreams, events, reviews, prayer requests, ministry pages, and other user-generated content.
8.1 Be Respectful
Disagreement about theology, denominations, culture, relationships, or public issues is permitted when expressed respectfully. Personal attacks, dehumanizing content, targeted harassment, threats, or calls for violence are not permitted.
8.2 Protect Privacy
- Do not post another person's private messages, address, phone number, financial data, medical details, or precise location without permission;
- Do not publish private prayer requests or pastoral/confidential communications without consent;
- Do not expose the identity of people seeking safety or support.
8.3 No Exploitation or Abuse
- No child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexual exploitation, trafficking, or predatory behavior;
- No non-consensual intimate imagery or threats to share it;
- No coercive fundraising, spiritual manipulation for money, or financial scams;
- No targeting vulnerable users with deceptive miracle, healing, prophecy, or investment claims.
8.4 No Fraud or Impersonation
Do not impersonate churches, pastors, ministries, charities, public figures, staff, or other users. Do not fabricate credentials, donation campaigns, prayer emergencies, testimonies, or financial needs to obtain money or access.
8.5 No Spam or Manipulation
Bulk messaging, engagement manipulation, fake accounts, automated posting, repetitive promotion, pyramid schemes, deceptive affiliate marketing, and unauthorized harvesting of member data are prohibited.
8.6 Sensitive Spiritual Claims
Users may discuss personal beliefs and experiences, but may not use threats of divine punishment, claims of supernatural certainty, or spiritual authority to coerce money, sex, private access, obedience, or dangerous conduct. Content involving alleged healing or medical outcomes must not discourage users from obtaining appropriate professional care.
8.7 Moderation
ChristConnect may remove or restrict content, limit reach, disable features, issue warnings, suspend accounts, or permanently ban accounts. Context, severity, intent, risk, repeated conduct, and legal requirements may be considered. Appeals may be offered where appropriate.
8.8 Reporting
Users should be able to report content or accounts by category, including harassment, scam, sexual content, child safety, self-harm risk, violent threat, impersonation, privacy violation, hate, spam, or other safety concerns. High-risk categories should receive expedited review.
