Donation & Giving Terms

Effective August 10, 2026

These Donation & Giving Terms apply when ChristConnect enables a user to make a voluntary donation, contribution, gift, or campaign payment through the platform.

9.1 Voluntary Giving

Donations are voluntary. A donation is not required to access core Bible, prayer, or devotional features and does not purchase spiritual favor, prayer priority, divine outcomes, moderation preference, dating visibility, or special religious status.

9.2 Recipient and Payment Flow

The checkout screen should clearly identify the intended recipient or campaign, amount, frequency, payment processor, and any disclosed platform or processing fees. Depending on the flow, funds may be processed directly for a church, ministry, nonprofit, campaign organizer, or ChristConnect-operated initiative.

9.3 Tax Deductibility

A donation is not automatically tax-deductible merely because it is made through ChristConnect or is described as a donation. Tax treatment depends on the recipient's legal status, the donor's jurisdiction, and applicable law. ChristConnect should not represent a payment as tax-deductible unless the actual recipient is legally eligible and the required receipt or disclosure is provided.

9.4 Recurring Donations

If recurring giving is offered, the frequency and amount must be clearly disclosed before confirmation. Users should be able to cancel future recurring donations through the applicable payment or account controls. Cancellation does not normally reverse donations already processed.

9.5 Refunds and Errors

Donation refunds may be limited after funds are transferred or disbursed. Users should promptly report duplicate charges, unauthorized transactions, obvious billing errors, or mistaken amounts. The recipient organization, processor, or ChristConnect may control the available refund process depending on the payment structure.

9.6 Restricted or Suspicious Campaigns

ChristConnect may pause, reject, investigate, or reverse a campaign or payment where reasonably necessary to address suspected fraud, sanctions, money laundering, exploitation, misrepresentation, illegal activity, chargeback risk, or a violation of platform policies, subject to applicable law and processor rules.

9.7 Recipient Responsibilities

  • Provide truthful organization, campaign, beneficiary, and payment information;
  • Use funds consistently with legally binding campaign representations;
  • Provide any legally required charitable solicitation disclosures, registrations, tax receipts, or donor notices;
  • Comply with sanctions, anti-money-laundering, tax, fundraising, and nonprofit laws; and
  • Avoid deceptive spiritual, healing, emergency, or beneficiary claims.

9.8 Donations and Minors

Minor users should not be permitted to make donations without any parent/guardian authorization and payment consent required by law and platform settings. Dating users must never solicit money from matches.
